Fourth Proc.

Here's something cool.

http://solarcookerproject.org

What we have is two pieces of cardboard lined with tinfoil. Placed in the sun of Africa, you have an excellently effective cooking device. Refugees in the camps of Chad have been given these solar cookers and they are being used with great success.

The women and girls of the camp now have less of a need to go outside the camp to gather wood for cooking. Which of course means a large decrease in the number of rapes which occur all too often as the women forage for wood.

The women are taught to cook with as well as make these solar cookers. With the new skill comes the opportunity to make money selling these cookers.

The cookers cost $15.00. Fifteen bucks!! Talk about saving lives with a huge amount of ingenuity and a teeny amount of moola. This is the kind of thinking that will raise all of our spirits, unite us in humanity and create the best world possible.
