Did you go to the website for habitat for horses? I think you should go again and go to the Stories section. Read about Marco. Oh my goodness, oh my goodness. So many of the stories about any rescued animal are just wrenching, but I promise that this one has a happy ending. I found myself thinking of Marco and Misty for days and days afterward.
This kind of story makes my heart grow big with love. ANY person who works in animal rescue, here is my wish for them.
For sweet dreams
For quiet, calm, soothing moments
For a head lifted high
For the adoring look from a dog, a cat, a bunny, a horse who Knows you have saved them.
For the sun to shine softly upon you
For the rain to bless you in it's cleansing graces
Because, somehow you have the fortitude to do the work that must be done
And because of you, lives are enhanced a million fold
Animal lives, human lives.
