Here is something that is so great. This info was also given to me for posting. Thanks-a-mucho.

This will bring you to a site about a place called Endless Possibilities. This is a fantastic name for a fantastic project.

It started when Rabiah Hodges was teaching at an art center that happened to be next to a thrift store. The thrift store was run by the Hotline, which is a crisis center for domestic violence, sexual assault and HIV/AIDS management. Because not all the clothing items given to the thrift store were usable, many were discarded. Rabiah saw raw material that she could use in her weaving projects. She began weaving the rags, along with yarn, into bags, rugs and cloth.

In 2002, Endless Possibilities opened for business selling the fiber art to raise money for the Hotline. Since then, Rabiah has trained over 600 weavers, many of whom were callers to the Hotline.

My favorite item was this really neato rug that was WOVEN OUT OF TIES!!! It was cool man cool. The end of the rug had the narrow part of the tie extending like fringe. Artists and their visions...I am so thankful for them.

Poetically, Rabiah says "like one of our weavings, you can take the pieces of your life and put them back together."

SIGH......aren't people wonderful?
