Oh. Don't you love a dog lover?

The United Animal Nations has a great website. www.mydogiscool.cool.com

It's a campaign to get the word out about the dangers of leaving a pet in the car in warm weather. They offer posters that you can download and print, brochures available on the cheap, (25 for 3 bucks, c'mon, deal-o-rama), links, and a "Cool Dog" pledge where you print the pledge, add your dog's name, take a photo of your dog and submit it to the " Is Your Dog Cool?" page. There's already 109 photos. So cute.

There's a Summer Tips section and a Media section and a Spread The Word section. They all offer basic info that we wish everyone knew. And an interesting study that shows how much hotter it is in the car than it actually is outside.

I'm so thankful to have found this website. And I found it because a store I frequent had printed one of the posters and stuck it on the "Enter" door. I'm going to print some and spread the word, too.

63........in my opinion, a very good year

I love clever brains!!! Here it is, Fruit My Cube.

This is from a company in Illinois called Belleville Farmers Market. It's a cool program where you can receive a box of fruit, delivered to your office space. Right now it's only offered in the St. Louis area, but I just lerve this idea.

Just a few months old at this point, there has been enormous interest. They are still working out logistics and offering samples to corporations in their area. Even the St Louis City Hall has jumped on the bandwagon. The orders are growing every week.

On each Wednesday, employees can click on the site to view the fruits for next week and decide whether or not they want to place an order. It's week by week, opt in or not. The boxes are delivered on the following Monday or Tuesday. You receive between 15 and 18 pieces of hand picked fruit per box. All for $ 9.99. YOWZA. Do you not love this?

They also have a school program called Taste Buds that help fight childhood obesity by getting kids to try new fruits and vegetables.

I don't work in a cube but I do work in a square room all by myself and truly if I had a box of delish fruit eyeballing me, I'm sure it would hinder me from hitting the bulk bin full of chocolate pretzels.

62 degrees = pleasant

It's veddy, veddy, VEDDY hot in the Pioneer Valley right now. You know what that means. Time to pool our collective thoughts and send visions of chill to our farmers and farm workers.

Think: icicles, snow cones, waterfalls, sprinklers, ocean waves, frosted glasses of ice water, kool pops, Mt. Everest, watermelon, cold rain and snow, buckets of water for feet soakin', tubing down the Deerfield River, any body of water for complete immersion and howsabouta nice, chilly Margarita at the end of the workday? Sound good?

Okay now, send out yer visions and cool thoughts and I thank-you.
